#First5weeks Welcome Programme

We have developed a five-week Welcome Programme starting on the 27th September 2021. This will help you to settle into college life and to make the transition to third-level education easier. Each of the five weeks will have a different theme and include lots of different campaigns and activities. 

Over the #First5Weeks, you will receive the following:

  • Department/School induction
  • Access to the GMIT induction module (online)
  • Access to a programme of events running over five weeks to help you settle in

Start dates

First-year students will start on the 27th September 2021.

Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology (GMIT) has appointed Dr George Onofrei as the new Head of the GMIT School of Business, commencing this month (September 2021).
