We have developed a five-week programme to help you settle into college life and to make the transition to third-level education easier.

Start Dates 

Depending on your course and campus, your start date could be Wednesday 5th, Thursday 6th or Friday 7th September, 2018.

Mature, Transfer, Further Education and International students start on Monday 3rd or Tuesday 4th September, 2018.

Shane McHugo, a postgraduate researcher in GMIT and Enterprise Ireland’s Medical and Engineering Technology (MET) Gateway, has been awarded the Allergan Innovation Award for his research on congenital heart disease.

Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology (GMIT) is pleased to announce a programme of public events and activities marking International Women’s Day 2019 (8 March) which are taking place in all campuses in Galway and Mayo from Wednesday 6 March to Friday 8 March, and in Higher Education Institutes acr
