Youth Geography and Migration

Description

In a traditionally adult-centred world the significance of youth geographies and migration relating to young people, their relationships with the wider community and society has been overlooked. The recent emergence of youth-centred approaches has led statutory and non-statutory organisations, legislators and researchers to accord more attention to the importance of young people's geographies and migration in relation to life chances and outcomes.  This module aims to support the learner to apply different theoretical lenses to examine young people's geographies and migration.  By doing so enables the learners to analyse political, social, cultural and economic processes and power dynamics that are associated with youth geography and migration.
