Enterprise and Innovation

Description

This module is focused on the development of innovative and entrepreneurial attitudes and skills while also building an understanding of the legal, financial and organisational frameworks within which new enterprises develop and operate.

Learning Outcomes

  1. Have an awareness of the impact of employment, consumer, equality, health & safety, data protection legislation on businesses.

  2. Understand the difference between ethical and legal business & professional practices.

  3. Contribute to the successful work and functioning of a team, understand the benefits of diversity of team membership.

  4. Present information visually, orally and in report format.

  5. Appreciate the core design skills of problem definition and iterative solution

  6. Understand the links between technological innovation, business model innovation and successful new enterprise development

  7. Work with and communicate successfully with stakeholders outside their discipline
