Contemporary Issues in Human Resource Management

This module will examine a range of contemporary issues that reflect the workplace at the time of delivery. The objectives are to enable students to develop knowledge on current HR/ER topics and to recognise that HR/ER is an evolving area that requires practitioners to continuously stay abreast of developments if they are to proactively respond to changes in the workplace. 

1. explore a range of contemporary HR/ER issues from multiple perspectives

2. assess the impact of a range of contemporary HR/ER issues on the workplace

3. demonstrate the ability to use a range of resources (practical and theoretical/academic) to develop effective workplace solutions

4. recommend appropriate management actions to address the challenges posed by issues that arise in the workplace
