Description

Change is a continuous process that requires organisations to take a number of steps to ensure survival and improve competitive advantage. Effective leadership is needed to understand, predict, plan and communicate the nature of organisational change and manage the response. This module explores various opportunities and challenges associated with leading and managing organisational change. It examines how the change process is initiated, planned, implemented and evaluated. It also investigates how organisations can learn to evolve their capacity to innovate enhancing future competitiveness prospects.

  1. Identify the role of change in relation to individuals, groups/teams, departments within organisations.

  2. Explain the change process and how to manage resistance to change.

  3. Analyse the business environment/ecosystem context and influence on organisational change. 

  4. Critique leadership styles and impact on managing organisational change.

  5. Predict how current innovations can shape future organisational competitiveness.
