SDGs and PROSPERITY

This module provides an introduction to the SDGs (7,8, 9, 10, 11) focussing on the theme of PROSPERITY and the importance of regional context in achieving the goals.

The focus of SDG7 is to realise accesses to ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all

The focus of SDG8 is to promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all

The focus of SDG9 is to build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable industrialization and foster innovation

The focus of SDG10 is to reduce inequality within and among countries

The focus of SDG11 is to make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable

In this module these topics are examined within a regional context. The module provides the learner with insight into how global challenges can be tackled at a local level, with the aim of empowering individual learners to become informed and responsible global citizens.

  2. Outline the application of the SDG theme PROSPERITY in a regional context

  3. Demonstrate knowledge of the inter-relationships between the SDGs in the theme of PROSPERITY

  4. Advocate the SDGs relevance and implications in an applied setting
