Launch of LGBTQ+ & Allies Staff Network
GMIT launched its LGBTQ+ and Allies Staff Network on Monday, June 14th, 2021, featuring special guest speakers, LGBTQ+ activists Rory O'Neill, Nuala Ward and poet Anne Walsh Donnelly. The launch was a simulcast with a small group gathering in GMIT's Galway campus (Dublin Road) whilst being broadcast live to all staff and invited guests on MS Teams. The event concluded with a video showing the raising of the Pride flag at each of GMIT's five campuses in recent weeks.

Third-year, female students of the BA in Contemporary Art Practices programme showcased some of their work. The display included drawings, paintings, prints, 3D work, animation, and digital experiments.
Galway International Hotel School Networking Event for Women in Food
Sally McKenna and Jacinta Dalton co-hosted a networking event for women in the food and hospitality sector. The event included panel discussions with food writers, artisans, farmers and chefs. The showcase was designed to highlight the array of occupational opportunities in the sector for women.
