Family Day: See campus specifics below:
- Galway City-Dublin Road, Wellpark Road, and Mountbellew Students: Tuesday 10th September 4-6pm.
- Castlebar Campus- Tuesday 10th September 3-5pm
- Letterfrack Campus- Wednesday 11th September 4-6pm
Students and families, welcome to your new campus! Join us in meeting your academic staff, student services, and students’ union members. Campus tours and information session available.
On-campus Induction Days: Wednesday 11th September and/or Thursday 12th September.

#First5Weeks Welcome Programme: From 16th September (1st day of classes)
A programme of activities and events designed to help you settle into college life. Each week has a different theme to highlight the college’s academic, learning, and social supports available.
Several groups of students will receive an additional pre-induction orientation session with the relevant student service team. This applies to:
- Mature Students
- Students on the HEAR scheme
- Students on the DARE scheme
- International Students
These sessions are designed to help answer any questions you might have, advise on common issues, and explain the supports that are available as well as helping you get to know the campus.

Webinar hosted by Dr. Maura Finnegan, ATU Head of Student Health, Wellbeing & Counselling. Letterfrack campus Induction commences on Thursday 12 September from 10am-5pm. Attendance is mandatory.
Induction commences in Lecture Hall 1 on the Mountbellew campus, Thursday 12 September at 10am-4pm. Attendance is mandatory. This induction session covers:
- Rural Enterprise and Agri-Business
- Agriculture and Environmental Management
Note: Agricultural Engineering students should attend the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering Induction on the Dublin Rd campus, Galway City.
