International Students

New international students are strongly encouraged to book accommodation with an approved student village for their first semester in ATU.  

Student Villages offer purpose built student accommodation of a high quality with broadband access and ancillary services.

At the start of each academic year an online accommodation listings service is provided by ATU Galway-Mayo Students Union at provides a list of the different types of accommodation (houses, flats, full and partial board) available near the Galway, Mayo, Letterfrack, and Mountbellew campuses.

Student Villages

A number of purpose-built student villages are located near ATU's Galway and Mayo campuses.


These student villages are owned and run by private operators.

Galway Student Villages

Glasán (162+ apartments: 700 Bed Spaces)

Ballybane Road, Galway.

Glasán Village is a purpose built student accommodation complex, affiliated with ATU Galway. 

The Village comprises of 700 beds spaces, the majority of which are centrally managed through the onsite reception office, which has an adjacent security office, shop, restaurant and launderette.
