Department of Environmental Humanities and Social Sciences

The Department of Environmental Humanities and Social Sciences is a new department with a holistic approach to understanding human interactions with the natural, social, and cultural environment. It offers a range of undergraduate programmes in Outdoor Education, Social Sciences, History, Geography, Heritage related studies, Community Development and Youthwork. It also offers a part-time programme in Contemporary Art Practices. Programmes offer work experience, placements, or community-based projects, appropriate to the programme. The department has a strong emphasis on community engagement and links with our stakeholders for programme development, teaching & learning, and research. The department also offer a range of part-time postgraduate programmes.
