The Department of Culinary Arts and the Service Industries is home to courses in Culinary, Event, Hotel and Hospitality. You can choose between 2yr, 3 yr. and 4 yr. courses.
Courses in this department all have practical and theory components so no two days are the same. Student will get to visit food producers, businesses related to their course, take part in meal experiences, guest lecturers, student competitions and occasionally attend master classes. Our facilities include real life training restaurants, bar and kitchens with a Beverage and Science laboratory for those important wine tasting classes. ATU hosts an award-winning library, this wonderful resource offers a comprehensive online learning suite of materials to support students in this department.
All full-time courses in this department have work placement as part of the course and many jobs are paid, an excellent opportunity to earn as you learn. The courses will be delivered online and on campus so you can better manage your study-work life balance while also having time to pursue your own interests.
