George Onofrei is Head of School of Business, at G ATU Galway. He completed his PhD at UCD Smurfit Graduate Business School, Ireland in the area of Operations and Supply Chain Management. His research interests focus on supply chain practices, sustainability, business data analytics, and behavioural operations in manufacturing and service industries. He serves on the Board of the European Operations Management Association (EurOMA).

Graham is Head of the School of Engineering at ATU Galway, Ireland. Graham is a visiting Professor at the University of New South Wales (Australia) and Hanken School of Economics (Finland).
Prior to joining GMIT Graham was Associate Professor of Logistics at UNSW, Australia where he was the course director of the MSc in Logistics.
Graham completed his PhD studies in the area of Civil Military Cooperation / Coordination at the Logistics Institute, University of Hull, for which he was awarded the James Cooper Memorial Cup for best PhD in Logistics and Supply Chain Management by the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport.
Prior to entering academia Graham spent fourteen years working in the Irish Defence Forces both at home and abroad in a variety of logistical appointments, as well as spending time seconded to Humanitarian agencies in a logistical capacity.
Graham’s research interests are broadly in the intersections between global logistics/supply chain management, service operations, humanitarian logistics and organisational management development.

Amaya is a lecturer in Economics at ATU, Galway School of Business since September 2017. Prior to this post, Amaya was a Research Fellow in the Socio-Economic Marine Research Unit (SEMRU) at NUI Galway where she was the lead researcher for the Socio-Economic Marine Beaufort Award, funded by the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine through the Marine Institute. The award included research work packages on the valuation of Ireland’s ocean economy, both established and emerging sectors, marine tourism and maritime transport.
Prior to that, Amaya was a post-doctoral researcher in the School of Business and Economics at NUI Galway working on a number of projects in the area of regional and rural development and the development of socio-economic indicators for sustainability and accessibility in a transportation context.
Amaya holds a Ph.D. (Economics) and M.A (Economics) degrees from University College Dublin, Ireland. She also holds a BSc in Business Administration and Management, from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, Spain.
Amaya’s main research interests are in marine and maritime economics and policy appraisal, transport economics and microeconomic analysis, related to maritime transport and the valuation of the marine economy.
Her work has been published by a number of the top ranked journals in the fields of transportation, marine studies and regional science.

Trevor Clohessy is a lecturer in business information systems and transformative technologies at ATU Galway School of Business since September 2018. Prior to this post, Trevor was a Lecturer at the National University of Ireland Galway business school and a post-doctoral researcher with Lero.
His research interests include blockchain, business analytics, digital transformation, digital addiction, digital politics and cloud computing.
Trevor completed his PhD from the National University of Ireland Galway. His doctoral thesis investigated the digital transformation impact of cloud computing on IT service providers. Trevor also holds a MSc in Information Systems Management and a MSc in Occupational Health and Safety from the National University of Ireland Galway.
Trevor has lectured business information systems, business analytics, databases, and cloud computing topics in traditional class room settings and blended / online learning settings.
Trevor and his research associates conducted one of the first blockchain Irish organisational readiness reports in 2018 entitled “Organisational factors that influence the Blockchain adoption in Ireland.”
Trevor is a member of the Connaught University Alliance (CUA) GMIT programme group for graduate studies and a member of the GMIT Business school research ethics committee.

Andrea is a lecturer in Marketing and Information Technology at ATU Galway. Andrea holds a Ph.D. in Higher Education: Research, Evaluation and Enhancement from Lancaster University, a Masters in Information Technology from National University of Ireland, Galway, a Masters in Business in Strategic International Marketing from Dublin City University and a Bachelor of Business Studies degree from Dublin City University.
Andrea’s main research interests are transformative learning, mature student educational experiences, inter-disciplinary learning and the exploration of innovative teaching, learning and research methodologies.

Marie Finnegan

Marie Finnegan is lecturer in economics and researcher in the School of Business in ATU Galway. Marie is programme chair for the Business Degree in Finance and Economics and helps lead the development of teaching, learning and assessment for the School of Business.
Her research interests include monetary policy, impact of monetary policy on financial markets, the Irish economy and teaching and learning. She has published in a number of national and international journals including Economies, International Journal for Social Economics, Treasury Finance, All Ireland Journal for Teaching and Learning and International Higher Education Teaching and Learning Review.
Marie presents at national and international conferences in economics and in teaching and learning on a regular basis. She is on the editorial board of the Journal of Economics, Business and Market Research and a journal reviewer for the Journal of Technology, Knowledge and Learning. Marie also makes regular contributions to the national and regional media – see here for recent press contributions.
She is a member of the School of Business Taught Research Programme Ethics committee.
Prior to entering academia, Marie was a market economist with treasury and investment consultants FTI Finance in the IFSC in Dublin where her research was primarily focused on financial markets. Prior to joining FTI Finance, Marie was a research economist with the Economic Research Institute of Northern Ireland and research areas included monetary policy, fiscal policy and the labour market.
She holds a Bachelor of Commerce, a Masters in Economic Science, a Masters in Teaching and Learning and a Higher Certificate in Digital Teaching and Learning. She is currently reading for her Phd in Economics. Her research concerns the impact of unconventional monetary policy on small and medium-sized enterprises.
