Claddagh Community Appeal

The Claddagh Community is organising an urgent appeal to help the people of Ukraine. The essential goods will be shipped to a distribution centre in Poland close to the Ukrainian border. 

Items below can be dropped into the Tertiary Hall, beside the Claddagh Church, on Saturday March 5th from 11 am to 1 pm.

Items in bags can also be dropped into the Claddagh Church Priory Office, on Wednesday to Friday from 10 am to 5 pm. 

There is also a need for cardboard boxes to pack and seal the items.

Looking for the following please:

  • Children's clothes new and used-Marked e.g., Boy 0-3 months/ Girl 2-3 years old

  • Nappies

  • Antiseptic creams

  • Wet wipes

  • Toothpaste/soap/toothbrushes

  • School supplies, pencils, pencils, marker pens, notebooks, colouring books

  • Sanitary items for women

  • Women's underwear (new)

  • Washing up powder (small boxes)

  • Dry food (lentils, buckwheat, stock cubes, dried veg etc)

  • Plastic plates, bowls, and cutlery

  • Tinned meat and fish.

  • Shampoo... wrapped in cling-film or put in plastic sealed bags

  • Paracetamol/Ibuprofen

  • Milton tablets or equivalent

  • New or undamaged-Clothing: trousers and sweatpants, jackets, rain jackets for women, men, children.
