This course is for chefs working in industry, who already have a Level 6 qualification in Professional Cookery/Culinary Arts and want to progress their career.
We know that chefs today need to be creative. Creativity and imagination will keep customers coming back to a restaurant.
However, chefs also require expertise and attention to detail. Chefs are responsible for sourcing ingredients and controlling costs, in addition to food preparation, cooking and presentation. A chef is part of a team and must be able to work well with others and motivate those working in the kitchen, at a fast, efficient pace.
This degree is designed to give you the advanced skills and techniques required to succeed at a senior level in the culinary industry.

It is mandatory that students on this course work (full-time) in the hospitality industry throughout their three years of study.
Applicants should have successfully completed a HETAC Level 6 award Higher Certificate in Culinary Arts, or its equivalent, and have at least one year’s relevant work experience.

All prospective students will be interviewed for final selection.
