Drawing and Visualisation 2

Description

This module builds on understanding accquired in Drawing 2 and Drawing & Visualisation in semesters 3 and 4 respectively. It links with studio modules in Fashion for Textiles, Graphics & Illustration, Product Design and Interior Design. Drawing/visualisation as a means to develop, inovate and experiement through markmaking. Learners will develop and advance aesthetic sensibilities through drawing and visualisation. They develop, refine and communicate concepts visually and aurally. Knowledge and understanding in generating visual research and ideas development are strengthened. Cognitive process necessary to designers such as concept development, visualization, problem-solving and definition/modeling are applied.

 

Learning Outcomes

  1. Demonstrate advanced enquiry, creative understanding and experimentation in the language of drawing

  2. Analyse and apply their findings logically and with selectivity to formulate design concepts

  3. Illustrate their designs, produce and present a body of work reflecting skills and know-how in the design process

  4. Employ advanced problem solving skills and evaluate visual and design solutions
