GMIT President's Thrive Award for Volunteering

GMIT Thrive Volunteering programme

GMIT has partnered with Volunteer Galway to link up students with volunteering opportunities in their community.

Volunteer experience:

  • Looks great on a CV
  • Reduces stress and boosts your self-esteem
  • Makes a huge difference to the community/person you are working with
  • Is a great way to meet new people
  • Can help you gain new skills

Go on ... make the world a better place today!

GMIT President's Thrive Award for Volunteering

The GMIT President's Thrive Award for Volunteering was established in September 2019 to celebrate civic engagement by students and staff in Galway, Mayo, Letterfrack and Mountbellew.

If you volunteer for the required number of hours, you will qualify for the award which will be presented at a special ceremony at the end of the academic year.
