The National Forum for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning in Ireland recognised two Departments in GMIT for a DELTA National Award and Recognition.

The award criteria includes:

• excellence in teaching and learning in a discipline
• exceptional knowledge and understanding of enhancing teaching and learning
• impact on the student learning experience
• strong communication tools
• the initiative is authentic to the discipline
