Animal and Crop Production Science

This module provides the student with an overview of animal and crop production science with particular emphasis on production in Ireland.

1. Explain the importance of agriculture in Ireland

2. Describe the principles and procedures in the sustainable production of livestock and crops on Irish farms.

3. Apply knowledge on the ethical and social responsibilities of farming in Ireland.

4. Demonstrate the application of knowledge in the performance of a range of routine farm skills 

5. Adopt safe working practices with animals, farm machinery and buildings
