Archaeology Theory, Method and Practice

Description

This module will provide students with a clear understanding of the history of antiquarian and archaeological thought and the development of the discipline of archaeology in its historical context, particularly in Ireland and Britain. The module will provide students with the practical knowledge necessary to understand and apply the methods and principles of archaeological field survey. The students will read and interpret the theoretical/argumentative positions in archaeological literature and heritage policy documents.
