Description

The aim of the module is to give the learner the knowledge and understanding necessary of all alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages available in the hotel and licensed trade industry

Learning Outcomes

  1. Demonstrate and apply all relevant knowledge of a wide variety of alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages - to include wines, spirits, cocktails, liqueurs, beers, specialty coffees, tea and coffee products.

  2. Examine and apply beverage storage knowledge as appropriate to draught beers, spirits, wines and ancillary products - to include environmental issues.

  3. Describe trends in the development and use of a broad range of small equipment and utensils and understand their importance for efficient beverage service
