Description
The aim of this module is to introduce students to the concept of the cell and focus on the basic biochemistry, physiology and molecular detail of the animal cell.

Identify and explain the function of the components/organelles of a cell
Provide details regarding the application of cells to industry
Explain the molecular composition of cells
Detail the biochemical processes that take place within cells such as cellular respiration, fermentation and photosynthesis
