Description
Construction Technology 2 will introduce the student to the materials, method and technologies in the construction of commercial and industrial buildings.
Learning Outcomes
Describe the construction process and recognise the relationship between the different stages of commercial and industrial construction identifying any problems that may arise.
Detail the construction of concrete, steel and timber frame commercial and industrial buildings including sustainable selection of materials.
Discuss and compare the advantages and disadvantages of concrete, timber, steel frame and hybrid non-residential construction methods and materials.
Identify the TGDs to be implemented for commercial & industrial buildings & understand the application.
Research Modern Method of Construction and Digital Construction processes used on construction projects
