Critical Theory 1: Introduction to the Practice

Description

CT 1 considers the various themes and debates surrounding our understanding of art and its histories. It introduces key skills in visual analysis and critical essay writing skills. It considers the contested nature of meaning in art, the tensions between fine art and popular culture, and, the relationships between art and philosophy.
