Data Governance with IT Security

Description

The module will provide a framework for data governance to guide the data management, availability, usage, application, development of data across the international enterprise resulting in a data strategy policy which incorporates data security techniques to satisfy IT audit and compliance practice. The data strategy and data governance decisions are to take cognisance of the ethical implications in using, distributing and analysing data and the impact of same on stakeholders. 

Learning Outcomes

  1. On completion of this module the student will be able to develop data governance policy based on guiding principles and ethical principles as per international guidance.

  2. Apply data management to improve high data quality throughout the lifecycle of the data.

  3. Describe the components of the process to ensure data management, data quality control and change management throughout the organisation

  4. Build Data/cyber/IS/IT/IM security policy and audit
