Ecommerce Website Development and Integration

This course will explore issues related to planning and deploying an e-commerce business solution.  Students will develop, implement and maintain an e-commerce solution to a website.

1. Examine the e-commerce framework focusing on the concepts, types and effective methods of e-commerce solutions.

2. Understand e-commerce providers, and the choice of platforms and databases available for e-commerce deployment.

3. Design, develop and implement an added value e-commerce solution to a website.

4. Administer the e-commerce storefront with particular emphasis on polices, privacy statements, site security, PCI compliance, payment gateways, online content integrity, deploying the site and webfront promotion.
