Description

The learner will be able to assess facilities, design, and maintenance management for the hospitality sector. The module will provide the learner with the operational codes of practice as laid out in legislation and associated regulations. Additionally, the module will apprise contract and venue catering with the knowledge, skills, and competencies necessary to execute successful events.

Learning Outcomes

  1. Critique the key structures in planning for industrial and venue catering operations.

  2. Evaluate operational codes of practice, and legal regulations pertaining to health, safety, security, insurance and risk management in facilities management and design for venue catering management.

  3. Analyse the stages in a building or refurbishment programme for a selected hospitality business.

  4. Summarise facility management maintenance in the operation of a hospitality business.

  5. Differentiate the structural and intermediary relationships between all players in catering operations.
