Psychoanalysis, Postmodernism and Film: some theoretical frameworks.

1. Have a detailed knowledge of the multiplicity of theoretical approaches in the understanding of film.
2. Have a detailed knowledge of key theories of psychoanalysis and its relationship to cinema and gender in history.
3. Exhibit a highly developed visual and theoretical knowledge of subjectivity and the boundaries of the human as reflected in contemporary film.
4. Demonstrate a highly developed appreciation of the complex role of cinema in culture and society as a mediator of modern life.
5. Participate in and contribute to seminars and discussions.
6. Demonstrate mastery of  the analytical and critical skills to proceed to postgraduate studies.
