Financial Reporting 1

This module will introduce students to a wide range of international accounting standards. The standards will be examined both from a theoritical and practical point of view.

1. Discuss and apply a conceptual framework for financial reporting.

2. Prepare financial statements in a form suitable for publication with appropriate notes which conform with International Accountancy Standards.

3. Evaluate and apply a selection of current International Standards.

4. Describe the role and structure of the International Accountancy Standard Board.
