Description

This module will provide learners with a framework for understanding the role of new food product design and innovation process. It identifies the importance of food product development, and the challenges involved in the development of a new food product. It will analyse the influencing factors of consumer needs and identify potential market-place opportunities for innovative new food products. It will introduce the design thinking process and market mix strategies in the food product innovation process.The module will also explore the main concepts and the purpose of branding from the manufacturers and consumer perspectives.
