French Language and Culture 4A

This course offers students the opportunity to continue with a foreign language at intermediate level. The focus at this stage will be on the future linguistic and intercultural needs within the professional context. CEFR B1.1

1. Begin to understand the main points of clear standard speech on familiar matters regularly encountered in work, leisure

2. Begin to understand texts that consist mainly of high frequency every day or job-related language

3. Begin to deal with most situations likely to arise whilst travelling in an area where the language is spoken.

4. Begin to write connected text on topics which are familiar or of personal interest, briefly give reasons and explanations for opinions and plans.

5. Begin to demonstrate further autonomy in learning

6. Begin to interact in a multi-cultural environment
