Game Design 1

Description

On this module learners study fundamental skills and understanding in the analysis of game design and production rather than game programming. The modules introduces the learner to the role of the Technical Artist who act as a bridge between the Artists and Programmers working on a game project.

Learning Outcomes

  1. Outline the historical context and developments in game design.

  2. Understand the basic principles of game design.

  3. Identify the theories and principles required in the production of game design animation assets and game design prototypes

  4. Evaluate how basic game play concepts affect the way gamers interact with the games.
