German Language and Culture 2

Description

German Language and Culture 2 is for students who wish to be able to engage effectively with the German language at an elementary level and who wish to learn more about the civilisation and culture of the main German-speaking countries. This module is in line with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages Level A1/A2.

Learning Outcomes

  1. Communicate on a broader range of familiar topics.                                   

  2. Show an awareness of contemporary life and culture in the main German-speaking countries.

  3. Understand a selection of simple authentic materials presented in oral and written form.

  4. Demonstrate a knowledge and appreciation of cultural diversity.

  5. Write short texts (eg. emails, simple letters, dialogues) on familiar topics.

  6. Take responsibility for  language-learning strategies.
