German Language and Culture 4A

Description stage 4 (CEFR A.2.2)

This course offers students the opportunity to continue with a foreign language at intermediate level. The focus at this stage will be on the future linguistic and intercultural needs within the professional context.

1. In line with the CEFR descriptors for level A2, students will

   Begin to understand phrases and the highest frequency vocabulary related to areas of immediate personal relevance

2. Begin to read short, simple texts

3. Begin to communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring a simple and direct exchange of information on familiar topics and activities

4. Begin to write short, simple notes and messages

5. Begin to demonstrate an appreciation of selected cultural facets pertinent to the language
