Information Systems Development

This module will provide the students with the necessary skills to understand systems analysis and design and to develop an Information System to specification delivered in project format. The applied techniques of the development lifecycle are to be demonstrated and practised on the sample business problem and submitted as a project.  The approaches and techniques of systems analysis life cycles are also completed, culminating in a developed Information System.

1. Analyse and Design an Information System as per a structured development methodology.

2. Design an integral system architecture.

3. Design robust application/ programme modules as appropriate

4. Develop appropriate user interfaces/prototype

5. Develop a relational /OO prototype information system.
