Interaction Design

Description

This module provides students with a grounded understanding of the practice of designing interactive digital products, environments, systems, and services, and how a user might interact with these.

Learning Outcomes

  1. Identify and evaluate processes by which user experiences (UX) and user interfaces (UI) are designed in professional settings and to apply these processes effectively to specific design opportunities.

  2. Demonstrate skills and proficiency in production research, user interface (UI) design and user experience (UX) design, product prototyping, and user testing.

  3. Identify and evaluate and effectively apply aesthetic principles to the design of UX and UI.

  4. Identify, evaluate and apply best practices for addressing issues of ethics, diversity, equity, and inclusion in the design of interactive projects.

  5. Demonstrate skills in interpersonal communication, time management, and self-presentation.
