Introduction to Energy Systems

This module will provide an introduction to both conventional and renewable energy systems.

1. Explain the concept of energy, energy systems, sustainable/renewable energy systems.

2. Identify and explain sources and forms of energy.

3. Describe the operation of various renewable energy systems: wind, solar, wave, tidal, hydro.

4. Describe the operation of conventional energy systems.

5. Discuss and interpret regulations regarding renewable energy systems and develop a sense of critical thinking about energy and its impact on society.
