On completion of this course learners should have a fundamental knowledge of the principal episodes of Irish and European history from 1200-1600.
Demonstrate an understanding of the themes and the narrative structure of Irish Medieval and Early Modern history up to 1600.
Comprehend and articulate the relationship between Medieval/Early Modern history and the broader heritage industry.
Express an awareness of the interdisciplinary relationships between Medieval/Early Modern history and cognate disciplines (e.g. archaeology and historical geography).
Discuss and position historical developments within Ireland during the period 1200-1600 in a broader european framework.
