Leadership and Facilitation

Description

This module provides a practical knowledge of leadership and facilitation skills, by examining the interpersonal roles contained within the process of working with diverse group. Students will have to match theory with practise as they develop their own skills and knowledge of working with groups and teams effectively.

Learning Outcomes

  1. Identify a range of leadership styles and demonstrate these in a range of group facilitation contexts

  2. Evaluate the group processes involved in a range of group contexts

  3. Demonstrate the capacity to enhance learning for participants through facilitating guided reflection

  4. Demonstrate a critical understanding of the how the outdoor environment can enhance learning and development for young children.

  5. Critically appraise the key concepts required for planning, designing and leading an outdoor education programme
