I enjoyed the practical aspects of the course and the supportive environment created on campus; from the student's union and services to our lecturers alike, it was a great place to be.

have had a passion, love and curiosity for nature and our oceans for as long as I can remember. My journey began with citizen science and volunteering with the Irish Whale and Dolphin Group. Having worked with ATU lecturers through my volunteering ventures, Applied Freshwater and Marine Biology, was the obvious choice.

I enjoyed the practical aspects of the course and the supportive environment created on campus; from the student's union and services to our lecturers alike,

it was a great place to be. My favourite modules were aquatic animal behaviour and assessment and environmental legislation. I would recommend getting as involved with the eNGO sector in Ireland. Since graduating, I've been a professional marine mammal observer, seabird surveyor and science communicator with the Irish Whale and Dolphin Group.
