Technical Graphics

Description

In this module the principles of technical drawing are introduced to the learner. These drawing and problem solving skills are then used to
solve constructions, projection systems, plane geometry problems.

Learning Outcomes

  1. Draw and represent ideas and solutions in clear, unambiguous presentation, representational and working drawings.

  2. Apply his/her knowledge of constructions, projection systems, plane geometry to the solving of problems posed.

  3. Apply his/her cognitive and practical skills in the areas of graphics, graphic communication and creative problem solving.
     

  4. Plan and formulate ideas and solutions to problems, using acceptable drawing conventions, symbols and standards and presentation
    methods and layout.

  5. Read and understand what is represented graphically and take what information is needed from a drawing.

  6. Use the knowledge he/she has acquired to develop his/her drawings skills, problem solving skills and extend this knowledge further
    through continuous use in design and communication graphics.
