In my eyes, my lecturers are the gold standard when it comes to the degree. To have such knowledgeable, experienced, and dedicated lecturers, and to have the opportunity to form such close bonds with them is a privilege.
I have grown up immersed in the outdoor world as my parents set up Lilliput Adventure Centre in Westmeath in 1998. I knew several past graduates of the Outdoor Ed degree in ATU and it was recommended to me by anyone I got in touch with during my Leaving Cert year.
ATU Mayo is an extremely unique and personable college experience. I know essentially the entire faculty and student body at this stage, it's a super tight knit community. In my eyes, my lecturers are the gold standard when it comes to the degree. To have such knowledgeable, experienced, and dedicated lecturers, and to have the opportunity to form such close bonds with them is a privilege.
Some of my favourite modules so far have been Environmental Studies, Safety and Legislation, and Leadership and Facilitation.
